Lockheed
Lodestar - Approx 1/32
|
|

Made of a very
heavy pot metal and was chrome plated, but now very worn, (not
Aluminium or Brass as was normal),
may be due to wartime metal shortages, and is almost certainly
a Lockheed manufacturers model.

This is a
rather distressed original metal model that has suffered from
metal fatigue. When I obtained the model it was in a number
of
pieces with a missing fin. I purchased it with the intention
of getting it back into one piece to take a metal casting from,
which I have done.
I then intended to straighten out the new cast soft alloy,
with which I am progressing. The old model is now surplus. It
is very fragile
and I'm not sure it would survive shipping intact but
I'm willing to try at buyers risk.
